Princess Eugenie and her husband,Jack Brooksbank, are expecting their third child together!
Buckingham Palace confirmed the news on Monday. “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer,” the Palace said in a statement. “August, aged 5, and Ernest, aged 2, are also very excited to have another sibling join the family. His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.” The Princessalso shared a post to her Instagram pagewith a photo of her sons holding a sonogram image, with the caption, “Baby Brooksbank due 2026!”
Eugenie, the younger daughter of the former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and Brooksbank married in October 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle following a seven-year courtship and a January 2018 engagement. Their eldest son, August Philip Hawke,was born in February 2021, and their second son, Ernest George Ronnie,arrived in May 2023, a few weeks after King Charles’s coronation.
In 2023, while pregnant with Ernest,Princess Eugenie opened up in a rare interviewabout how motherhood has changed her life. "Since August came into my life, it's positively impacted my desire to do more,"EugenietoldHello. "Priorities change when you have children; you want to do everything you can for them—and for your grandchildren. August is only two but I hope that what I'm doing will seep through to him and that one day he takes it on, too."

As Princess Eugenie, like her sisterPrincess Beatrice, is not a working royal. Thus, she and Brooksbank both have their own careers. The family splits their time betweenIvy Cottage at Kensington Palace and a residence in Portugal, where Brooksbank, who turned 40 yesterday, works in luxury property development. Eugenie, who studied art history and English literature at Newcastle University, hasworked as a director at the London art gallery Hauser & Wirthsince 2015.
The announcement comes at a tumultuous moment for Eugenie’s family. In October 2025, King Charles stripped her father,the former Prince Andrew, of his royal honorsand evicted him and Feguson from their longtime residence atRoyal Lodge, following the release of documents from the Jeffrey Epstein files that revealed theextent of their alleged ties to the late convicted sex offender. The former Duke of York has always repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
Now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, he has since relocated toMarsh Farm, a private residence on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. Ferguson wasmost recently photographed at a mountain retreatin the Austrian Alps.
